Improved Weight Reports

Hi,

I'm trying to get a better idea of my weight loss, but the reports are lacking some basic features. For example, how can I export my weight into a standard format such as csv? The graph only provides a simple view without much statistics and I can't even see past a year. Also, I would like to see a rolling average line chart as described in the Hacker's Diet. For a good example of this, see the Android app called Libra weight manager. Currently I put my weight in TWICE a day, once in myfitnesspal and once in Libra so I can get some of these more advanced features. It would be nice to only have to use one app instead of two.

In summary:
(1) Ability to export weight, measurements, in standard format like csv.
(2) Ability to support more advanced statistics like a rolling average.
(3) Ability to graph/export past a year.

Any ideas for these? Do any of these features already exist and I just can't find them?

Add Android reports to web please

I really like the option to see my prior week's overall net calories on my Android, and there is nothing like this on the web site version. I am referring to the one where it goes from Monday through Sunday and gives you the overall average calculation for that week. It allows you to page through each prior calendar week's figures. Online you don't get the overall figures and you have to select a specific timeframe that just shows you a bar graph of each day (nice visual, but you have to do the math yourself to see how much over or under you are each calendar week). Please add the android version to the website reports.

An option to put descriptions (weights) for our pictures

It would be wonderful if we could add descriptions for our pictures, so we can include our weights, etc. It would be nice to be able to explain our progress in each picture.

Quick Add Calories vs Quick Add Nutrients

I scan a lot of barcodes that dont come up with the actual food I have in my hand - Its good to be able to quick add calories, but is there any way i could quick add nutrients - for example

add in calories, sodium, fibre and carbs all in one go?

I use a lot of small independant shops where they make their own items, they have done to the effort of providing nutritional info but I dont add this to the database for all MFPers to use as they are local independant shops in the countryside of Northern Ireland and the chances of another MFPer using the same shop is very small

Can I add numerous nutrients now in any way or can this be thought about for future updates?

Multiple nutrition goals on single account/profile

I would really like to see the possibility to maintain multiple nutrition goals on a single account/profile. Meaning that when for instance I want to do carb/calorie cycling I can switch back and forth between ON/OFF days. On training days I would consume more calories and more carbs while on rest days this would be less. I don't want to adjust my goal settings on a daily basis, just switch back and forth between multiple goals.

Now I am using 2 separate accounts to track my macros on training days and rest days.

Who is with me here??

There seems to be an error in daily totals

I have been noticing that the daily totals don't always add up correctly. For example, my food log today says I have consumed 1599 calories. My macros (in grams) were 135c / 183p / 32f. This should equal 1560 calories, shouldn't it??? (135*4) + (183*4) + (32*9) = 1,560. I realize there could be some rounding issues, but 39 calories seems way to high to be rounding.

Option to Manually Input Caloric Daily Goal

Please add an option to manually input Daily Caloric Goal. Due to different types of body types and daily needs, there should be an option to put in your daily caloric goal. For example, not everyone should be doing 1200 calories a day if their exercise level is increased. It would be nice to have that option.

plz plz make the weight ticker a widget for the android platform... i was using another calorie counter till recently... i just happened to come across your website...and its brilliant.. it has all the food...all the indian food i eat is on ur website and i love the bar diagrams...coz its focussed not only on the calories but also on the other nutrients... i cant believe my luck...u r doing truly wonderful work... but plz plz add the weight tracker/ticker as a widget...i need that kinda in ur face constant reminder...i m sure others willl agree.

Adding Food from Database to Diary

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but it would be really great if, when we go into the Database to look something up we could add the food to the diary directly from database itself.

Editing My Meals & My Recipes

Are there any plans to incorporate editing and / or renaming capability to My Recipes and My Meals. The only way to do so now is erase and start over. Before I found your mobile app for iOS, I was using LoseIt! and found it very useful to be able to edit these things. Hopefully you will provide the same option or at least some other mecanism for editing. Even if you limited the editing function to browser access on the PC, that would be a great advance, if you can't do it in the iOS app.

It would be cool, if I could look at the macro nutrients for each meal, as well as all added together. I think that would give me some insight into my meals and how to better switch thing up to stay within the range I want.

Adding foods from the Database

I am new so maybe there is a way that I am justing not seeing....
When I add food to my diary, I can only choose the AMOUNT/VOLUME of the food. it's not until it is posted that I know the calorie amount. On the flip side, if I use the database to look up a food's calorie content, I can't directly add it to my diary. I have to back out and look the food up again to add it.

There needs to be an "ADD" button in the food database section.

MyPlate USDA food group report for web site

It would be great to have a report on the web site that analyzes the diary against MyPlate, the USDA's primary food group symbol. Creating more awareness of the need for eating from all five USDA food groups (fruit, vegetables, protein, grains, and dairy) would be helpful to me and I suspect to other users as well. Lose It! has this report on its web site and I used it often to remind myself to eat from all the five food groups every day.

I love MFP...it's saved my life! One wish I have is the ability to edit the GOAL totals under Nutrient Details. Some are not right for all individuals. For example, recommended sodium is no longer 2500mg and cholesterol people with heart issues should be 200mg.

Free Version vs Premium Version?

First, thanks for a great website. It is very helpful in keeping fitness "front of mind". That said, there have been a number of good suggestions over the past year or more that have not been implemented that would make the site better. Some of these are the natural versus added sugars, having (a lot) more detail in the nutrition reports (break down fats by saturated, polyunsaturated, monounsaturated, and total fat) and a number of other items. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 items would be a minimum.

In order to accomplish this I, for one, would be more than happy to pay a premium. Maybe two sites, the free site and a premium site?

What do others think?

Mobile Find Members / Invite Friends

Could this functionality be added to the mobile apps? I know some people who don' t have easy access to PC's and therefore have to wait until someone else sends them a friend request. It would be great if this could be done in the app environment, for example, you show up to lunch with some friends and show them the app and how great the site is, they want to sign up right away and join friends lists so they can start working the program together... one hitch... they each have to wait until they get to a computer to link up. Perhaps by the time they are sitting in front of the computer, the notion has passed.

breast feeding

I am a new mom, who like most is trying to get back in shape. I have the added help of breastfeeding but there is nothing to add in for the calories breastfeeding consumes. I know that it burns 20 cals per oz and I am well above 30 oz daily. I want to loose weight but not my supply. Please help add something in for the breastfeeding moms of my fitness pal!
