This is a very helpful site for tracking dietary and exercise habits in one place. Other items that would be nice to track are heart rate, blood pressue and ddaily cafine intack. This would make it easy to print out several reports to take to annual doctor's visit.

bodybuilders and other suggestions
Hello,
I have been using your product for a few weeks now and first let me tell you that in my opinion it is awesome. It made me much more conscious about what I eat and the calories / quantities I eat daily. However, there are few things that I think you should consider in adding to your apps:
1. The calorie counter is really good, however, one thing that really gets to me is the proportions. I am trying to shred some fat, but I also want to grow some muscles, which is why I go to the gym and lift weights, and then after workout drink protein shakes. Since I do all the mentioned above, It kind of makes me a bodybuilder. The proportions of proteins to carbs to fat are not working for me, and I cannot change it. I go way over my protein limit daily, but end up with lower calories I'm allowed to. It could be great if you had several plans for let's say athletes or so that require a bit different ration of nutrients. Or, the simple thing is to let users of your app to set / adjust their own ratios according to their own goals.
2. As I said before, I do weights. I workout with heavy weights about 3-4 times a week, for over two hours each time. When I'm done, I'm very tired and I believe I worked hard. In other words, I believe I burned calories. When I update the exercise log, I do get extra calories for my cardio workout, but I don't get anything for 2 hours of heavy lifting. This issue might relate to the previous issue I had where your app simply doesn't take into effect "bodybuilders", power lifters and strength training athletes.
3. A really good improvement would also be the ability to enter your % body fat for keep tracking. Most bathroom scales and gyms now days have the option of measuring your % body fat. It is at least as important to track as the weight in lbs. Muscle tissue weights more than fat, so people that workout, might not see decrease in weight like your app predicts in 5 weight and some might even see increase despite their goal to lose weight due to increase in muscle and water in the cells. Seeing this increase or very slow decrease might discourage people from continuing and sticking to their goal.
4. I occasionally buy some imported food. When I scan the barcode on some of the items I get no results which is a bit frustrating since I use the specific items several times. Why don't you guys add the ability to let the user completely add an item to your database. So for example when I scan it, and no results found, I can enter the name and the nutrition values that are located on the bag and the portion size. This way, users from all over can increase your database info a lot.
i really hope you will take some of this suggestions into account or add it to your lists if you havent yet.
Keep up the great work!

"Food swap" or food suggestion list?
I thought it would be really handy to eventually integrate a "food swap" suggestion list into MFP!
The idea being that you can type in a food you feel like, with MFP listing healthier alternatives ie lower calories, less salt, more vegetables etc. I've had some trouble getting into the habit of healthy eating - snacks are probably the most tricky for me to make healthy, and stop getting boring!
So in example, I would type in "potato chips", and possible suggestions would be "air-popped popcorn", "a medium apple, 30g cheese and 50g trail mix" or "low-fat yoghurt and 1 cup of fruit salad"
I have lots of trouble thinking of foods that "fit" into my calorie limit, so a meal suggestion option would work wonders for those of us who get stuck and can't access the forums, or are in a moment of weakness!! Going shopping can bring on food cravings, so extra help to curb some of them would be awesome~
MFP already has calorie counts for lots of foods, it would probably just be a matter of classifying them into comparable categories (no use getting 1 uncooked potato" or "1tbsp soy sauce" as a suggestion!) so "complete" meals come up instead of random vegies and condiments?
A "Food Swap" app exists in the iTunes store but I run Android and no such program exists here (that I have found!)

A way to seperate news feed posts
Just wanted to throw this suggestion out there. But I would love if there was a way to filter your news feed. That way at the end of the night if one or two friends post a blog it doesn't get buried under 100 "this person completed their food diary" posts. Maybe a way to see only blog posts by friends, or only topics other friends posted on etc.
I know you can click on each individual friend and see, but sometimes that can be hard to do, and I'd hate to miss something when someone might really need support.
Thanks! I know you guys are working hard to keep everything running. But wanted to add this if it wasn't already on the idea list. :flowerforyou:

Units of measure
Hi,
When adding foods, it should be very simple to convert ounces to grams or vice versa. A lot of times, I'll have a package of food which is listed in grams only - but I have to break out a separate calculator to get it inserted into my diary under an item which has only ounces.
Please add this feature!

Add more meals to MFP
I LOVE the MFP site and app. I have lost over 30lbs tracking my food and exercise using your app.
What I am looking to do now is keep a better log of when I am eating. For example, I would love to enter a Pre and Post workout meal in. I am trying to fine tune my workouts and eating and for now I just lump what I eat into the meal that is closest to the time I am working out.
For example I would like to see:
Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner
Snacks
Pre Workout
Post Workout
Keep up the great work and hopefully my recommendation will be added in a future update.

Food searches in personal log vs database
I would like to be able to search for foods within my own past entries in my food log without having to go back to the Food Database and find it again. There are foods that I have logged in the past that can no longer be found (or easily be found) on my Recent or Most Used pages. So, it's like reinventing the wheel each time. It would be nice to have the choice of finding those foods in my food log OR in the bigger database.
Thanks!

Vitamins and Minerals
Hi,
I love, love, love myfitnesspal.com and the app works brilliantly - I use web and app daily for weight loss...However, my suggestion would be to branch further into the realms of 'healthy living' not just weight loss and transformation. I'd LOVE to see all vitamins and minerals listed so I could see if I've eaten enough fruit and veg daily to have optimum health.
All the vitamins and minerals for all fruits and veg (to start with) would be a phenomenal tool. This is something I'd really like to calculate but can't find anywhere on the web that does it. It would be great if you could integrate this so I knew if I needed more B1 or D or K for example. I know there are some already listed such as A and C but the full spectrum would be wonderful. And goals for these too.
Love the app and website, best that there is of its kind!

Body fat Percentage
Hello
Any way that you could track body fat percentage relative to total weight? My focus isnt on losing weight, its losing body fat.. Every time I weigh myself, I measure my body fat percentage and then look to see how much fat I've lost; it would be great if I could do that through myfitnesspal.
Thanks!

Setting your week
I've looked around the site, but am unable to find where you can set the start/end of your week. For example, I weigh-in on Friday morning, so my day #1 is Friday. I love all the weekly reports, but the weekly report runs for half my week, not what I consider a full week. Is there something I am missing, or is this something you would consider for a future upgrade?
Thanks!

Keep exercise log from adding calories to goal
Hi,
When you add exercise for the day it adds the calories burned to the daily calorie goal.
I know this is a feature many want, but I would prefer not to have my daily calorie goal increased based on my exercise.
Could you create the option for us, perhaps in the settings, so we could turn this on or off. This way the calorie goal won't fluctuate but we could still see how many calories burned for exercise.
I end up adding my exercise using the strength training since those workouts are not tracked for calories burned, and would rather be able to log my exercises just like I do my food without adding to the calorie goal.
Love the website and the Android app!
Thanks.

Updating daily goal calories for the future only
At time throughout my weight loss I want to try different caloric levels to see how my body repsonds to them. I clicked My Home | Goals | Change Goals | Custom to update my daily calorie goal, but this number was changed going all the way back to when I started logging, so it looks like my "Net" and "Remaining" numbers are wrong for those past days. Is there a way to update this value and maybe some of the other customizable values going forward only?

Import Endomondo Data?
I use endomondo between 1 and 3 times per day. It's a little annoying to have to look at the endomondo results and then enter the same data into MFP multiple times per day. I'm already entering a lot of data into MFP every day. It would be very nice to be able to read endomondo data and automatically import it into MFP at startup. All I really want is the calorie count.
I don't know if that's even possible but it would definitely give MFP a leg up in my opinion.

Tools
In the tools tab add more tools. Also a review section on things like sport mp3 players, workout music, etc. Also it would be neat to have a sports activities page. List of marathons, triathlons, mud races, everything. I spend hours going over page after page trying to find events. Having a really great, easy to navigate database would be awesome. Data bases like active.com are ok but miss a lot of activities. They are not very thorough. Having a site that cares list them in detail with thorough researchers would be awesome.

NEW IDEA - PENETRATE NEW MARKETS
Team,
Many Americas suffer from Acid Reflux and have to worry about which foods they eat. Would it be possible to either add something for acidity (similar to fat, carbs, etc goal for the day) or give each item a acidity score? I know many acid reflux suffers could use it to understand which foods will give them reflux. There is a book "Dropping Acid : The Reflux Diet" by Jamie Koufman. Maybe you could even team up or something. So MFP could be more than a weighloss site, it could penetrate other markets such as acid reflux and heart health, etc.
Regards
Roger
